Question 1

How does ordering work?

Accepted Answer

Every order starts with an idea! You can browse our creations for inspiration, use the guided design assistant if you're not sure where to start, or jump right into creating if you already know what you want. Once you submit your request, I'll personally review the details and work with you to finalize the design and pricing. You'll get a proof and quote to look over before your project moves forward. After your design is approved, you'll receive a secure Stripe invoice you can pay online. Ready-priced items can be paid for right away at checkout. Production begins after approval and payment.

Question 2

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

Accepted Answer

Not at all! Some customers come to me knowing exactly what they want. Others have a screenshot, a favorite color, an occasion, a photo, or just a general idea. You can use the guided design assistant to explore possibilities, or simply submit what you know and I'll help you figure out the rest.

Question 3

Can you make something that isn't shown on the website?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The website is meant to show examples and possibilities — not everything I can make. If you have an idea that isn't listed, submit a custom request. I love seeing what customers come up with, and I'll let you know what's possible.

Question 4

What happens after I submit my request?

Accepted Answer

I personally review every request — nothing is automated behind the scenes. I'll follow up by text or email (whichever you prefer) if I need more details, then send you a proof and your final quote. You approve the design, pay your Square invoice, and I get to work. You'll get status updates as your project moves toward pickup or shipping.

Question 5

Can I work with you directly instead of using the design assistant?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The design assistant is completely optional — it's just a tool for exploring ideas. You can send your request with a description, a photo, or a few words and skip the AI entirely. I'll take it from there.

Question 6

How does the design assistant work?

Accepted Answer

The design assistant helps you explore products, colors, styles, personalization, and design ideas based on what you're looking for. It also uses my current product catalog, so it can suggest items and options I actually offer. Think of it as a creative brainstorming partner — not a replacement for working with me. I personally review every submitted project before anything is finalized.

Question 7

What if the AI doesn't create something I like?

Accepted Answer

No problem at all! The AI is there to help spark ideas, but it doesn't have to create your final design. Submit your request anyway and I'll personally work with you to refine your idea and create something you'll love. Sometimes the best projects start with, “That's not quite it, but…”

Question 8

Does the AI-generated picture show exactly what my finished product will look like?

Accepted Answer

AI-generated designs and product mockups are there to help visualize your idea. They aren't photographs of the finished product. Because every item is individually created, the final piece may have slight differences in color, placement, sizing, texture, or appearance. You'll have a chance to review your actual design proof, when applicable, before production.

Question 9

Can I upload inspiration pictures?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can upload photos, screenshots, sketches, color ideas, previous projects, or anything else that helps explain what you have in mind. Inspiration images are used as references to help me understand your vision. Please only upload images you have permission to use.

Question 10

What if the product or color I want is out of stock?

Accepted Answer

That doesn't necessarily mean I can't make it. Some products or colors may be temporarily unavailable in the studio but can potentially be ordered from a supplier. If that's the case, the design assistant may let you know that additional time could be needed. You can choose to wait for that option, explore something similar that's currently available, or submit the request and I'll personally check availability for you.

Question 11

Are all the products on the website already made?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything at Crafts by Depietro is made to order. The products and photos you see are examples of what I can create. Your item isn't made until your design is finalized, approved, and your order is ready for production.

Question 12

Can I choose different colors, sizes, or styles?

Accepted Answer

Usually, yes. Available options depend on the product and what materials or blanks are currently available. The design assistant will show available choices when it can, and you're always welcome to ask for something that isn't listed. I'll confirm what's available before your project goes into production.

Question 13

Will I receive a proof before you make my order?

Accepted Answer

For projects that need design approval, yes. You'll get a link where you can review your design proof and quote. Please look carefully at names, spelling, dates, colors, personalization, and any other details. From there you can approve the design or tell me what you'd like changed.

Question 14

Can I request changes to my proof?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. If something isn't quite right, let me know what you'd like changed. I want you to be happy with the design before production begins. Once a design has been approved and production has started, changes may no longer be possible.

Question 15

What happens if I approve something with a spelling mistake?

Accepted Answer

Please review all personalization carefully before approving your proof. Names, dates, wording, and other information you provide will be made exactly as shown in the approved design. Once production begins, corrections may require remaking the item and could result in additional costs.

Question 16

Why don't I see a checkout button?

Accepted Answer

Because every order is custom. Instead of charging you before all the details are worked out, you submit a custom request first. I'll review your project, confirm the design and pricing with you, and then send an invoice through Square.

Question 17

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Once your design and quote are approved, I'll send you a secure Square invoice. Payment is made directly through Square.

Question 18

Are the prices on the website final?

Accepted Answer

Prices shown on the website are starting prices or estimated ranges unless a product has a fixed price. Final pricing depends on things like the product, size, quantity, materials, personalization, design complexity, special options, rush requests, and shipping. You'll always receive your final quote before you're asked to pay.

Question 19

How long will my order take?

Accepted Answer

Turnaround time varies depending on the project, materials, current workload, and whether anything needs to be specially ordered. I'll give you an estimated timeframe before production begins. If you need something by a specific date, please include that date when you submit your request.

Question 20

Can you do rush orders?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes. Rush availability depends on the project, materials, and my current production schedule. Submit your request with the date you need it and I'll let you know what's possible. Additional rush charges may apply.

Question 21

Will my finished product look exactly like the picture on my screen?

Accepted Answer

Colors can look different between phones, tablets, monitors, printers, inks, and physical materials. Because each item is individually made, slight variations in color, placement, texture, grain, or finish may happen. Those small variations are part of the handmade process and help make each piece unique.

Question 22

What should I know about natural materials?

Accepted Answer

Natural materials like wood can vary in grain, knots, texture, and color. Other specialty materials may also differ slightly from piece to piece. These natural characteristics aren't considered defects — they're part of what makes each handmade item one of a kind.

Question 23

Do you offer local pickup?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Local pickup is available when it makes sense for your order. Pickup details are arranged directly with you once your order is ready.

Question 24

Do you ship?

Accepted Answer

Yes, shipping is available for many products. Shipping costs depend on the size, weight, destination, and packaging needs of the finished order. Tracking information is provided when available.

Question 25

Do you accept bulk orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes! I can create custom items for businesses, schools, teams, weddings, events, employee gifts, parties, and other groups. Submit a request with the quantity, the date you need it, and what you have in mind, and I'll work with you on options and pricing.

Question 26

Can I use my business logo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you own the logo or have permission to use it. Upload your logo with your request and I'll help figure out the best way to use it on the product you choose.

Question 27

Can you recreate something I found online?

Accepted Answer

You're welcome to upload inspiration to help show the style, colors, layout, or overall idea you're going for. Inspiration doesn't always mean an exact copy can be made, though. I'll work with you to create something that fits your project.

Question 28

Can you make copyrighted characters, logos, or designs?

Accepted Answer

Some artwork, characters, logos, brands, and designs may be protected by copyright or trademark. If you're unsure about something you'd like to use, submit your idea and I'll let you know what options are available.

Question 29

How will you contact me about my order?

Accepted Answer

When you submit your request, you can choose how you'd like to hear from me: text, email, or either is fine. I'll use the method you pick for anything important about your project.

Question 30

What if I have another question?

Accepted Answer

I'd love to help! Use the Contact page or submit a custom request and tell me what you're thinking. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
